They say home is where the heart is

But I don’t know where home is anymore

My hearts been broken to many times to call one place home

I’m in love with a city

I grew up there, I died there, I lived there and I loved there

Its where I fell in love with the beauty of the sun rise

Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King

1280 Main Street

68 Longwood

144 Emerson

I come back here to check in

Make sure the piece I left behind is still there

Still fresh, still beating, still full of that hopeless love

Its the piece thats still closest to me

Its a place to share

You see the best and the worst of it at the same time

It stands proud in the shadow of its beloved neighbour

I chose to leave a part of my heart here

In hopes that I could give that part to … you

Sunrise, coffee, and a promise

A promise I’d seal with rose gold

Some times you heart breaks because you let someone take a part of it

Other times you chose to give someone a part of it

Sometimes you make someone home, so you can take them with you everywhere

Home is where the heart is

My hearts still on the Escarpment, where I’d hoped you’d be my new home

Sealed with Rose gold
